BioIn less than one year, The Wintersleepers have quickly made waves in the local and regional music scene with their unique blend of underground girl-rock, punk, folk and indie. Created with the rhythm section of a defunct girl-punk group and fronted by a veteran singer/songwriter, they have recently released an EP and are road-warriors coming to a town near you.
With a trained voice soaring over crunchy indie guitar riffs, drum beats that defy 2 and 4 and flowing bass lines, the band's sound can only be described as a mish-mosh of all of their very different backgrounds and influences - but that's a good thing. With indie becoming mainstream and old rock standards going pop, The Wintersleepers are a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stale arena of overdone and heard it before.
Catch The Wintersleepers on tour this year in the Northeastern US with plans to tour Germany this Fall.
